A fantastic place for a family outing! We visited the Interactive Music Museum in Málaga with our children and had a wonderful time. The kids were thrilled to be able to touch and play different instruments — such a great feature of the museum! The exhibitions are interesting, modern, and suitable for all ages. You can not only see instruments from around the world, but also learn about their history and hear how they sound. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Highly recommended — it's both fun and educational!

An excellent museum! Displays of instruments from different parts of the world and different time periods. The building housing the museum is beautiful as well. The spaces are outlying accessible to wheeled travelers. Both the front and rear parts of the building have elevators. I really loved the interpretive Displays and QR codes which allow you to hear how the instruments sound. Even better are the areas where kids of all ages can play them! FANTASTIC! Highly recommended! Stepped into MIMMA in Málaga’s historic center and was instantly hooked by the vibe music history comes alive here! This isn’t just a museum; it’s a playground for anyone curious about sound. You can strum a guitar, tap a drum, or even try a harp in the "Please Play" rooms. The collection spans centuries and continents, with nearly 1,000 instruments, from ancient lutes to quirky global finds. Pro tip: scan the QR codes to hear each instrument’s sound it’s a game-changer for understanding their vibe. Tickets are only €5 (free for kids under 6), and it’s rarely crowded, so no queue stress. Don’t miss the basement with Málaga’s medieval walls for a cool photo backdrop. Check their site for flamenco show times worth the extra €19 if you catch one! Perfect for families or solo explorers near the Catedral.

From the moment we arrived, we were warmly welcomed by the friendly staff, which immediately set a positive tone for the visit. Entry was free with our tourist bus ticket, which made it an easy decision to stop by, and I’m so glad we did. The performance space was small and intimate, with soft lighting and a closeness that made you feel as though you were stepping into a private gathering rather than a staged show. The air carried the faint scent of polished wood and warm fabric, and the audience spoke in hushed voices, as if everyone instinctively knew they were about to witness something special. The evening began with a guitarist whose fingers danced effortlessly across the strings, filling the room with deep, resonant notes that seemed to linger in the air. Then, a singer stepped forward, his voice rich and textured, carrying both sorrow and joy in equal measure, a sound that seemed to come from somewhere far beyond the walls of the room. And then, she appeared: the flamenco dancer. Dressed in a vibrant, flowing dress of deep red and black, she moved with a mix of grace and raw intensity. Her heels struck the wooden floor in sharp, rhythmic bursts, each stomp echoing like a heartbeat, perfectly in sync with the music. The folds of her dress swirled around her like a living flame, and the passion in her eyes held the entire audience captive. It wasn’t just a performance, it was an authentic slice of Andalusian culture, alive with history, emotion, and artistry. The fact that it was free made it all the more extraordinary. We left with the feeling that we had been given a gift, a genuine cultural experience that will stay with us for a long time. A truly great show. Culturally authentic, emotionally moving, and absolutely worth the visit.
