I did 4 weeks with Vamos academy in July 2025 and it was a fantastic experience, doing the 20 hour intensive weekly option in the morning. From the moment I began contacting them a few months beforehand, the customer experience was responsive, friendly, polite and helpful with all the questions I had in advance. A big thank you to Eduardo for that. I decided I wanted to get to as high a level of Spanish as possible before I arrived, so waited to do my placement test until the last moment (a week in advance as per their request), just because I wanted to be good enough to accelerate my Spanish as much as possible, but they cater to all levels. When I was there, I was initially placed in a higher level than I thought I would be, and expressed this to my tutor Sergio who gave me an option to change but thought I was at the right level and to keep going and see. I was a bit intimidated and I can’t thank Sergio enough, as my tutor for the four weeks. He encouraged me when I was feeling overwhelmed or not good enough, was patient and kind, and would explain things in multiple ways until I understood. I really have to credit to Sergio for helping me achieve what I did while I was there. For those with kids, they also have options for them as well while parents are learning. My husband was at a lower level than me and could only do afternoons due to work, and they were very flexible to cater to his needs.
The benefit you will get out of this is what you put in, Vamos sets the scene and gives you all the tools to do it in a supportive environment. There’s no pressure, the only pressure I felt was what I put on myself. If you want to take it casually, you can, if you want to push yourself, that’s also possible.
I would definitely go back!
Ich habe an einem Sprachkurs 1 zu 1 (Einzelubtericht) bei der Vamos Academy in Málaga teilgenommen und bin absolut begeistert! Der Unterricht war sehr lehrreich und gut strukturiert. Die Lehrerinnen und Lehrer waren nicht nur kompetent, sondern auch sehr engagiert und freundlich. Sie haben den Stoff verständlich vermittelt und sind individuell auf die Lernbedürfnisse eingegangen.
Die Atmosphäre an der Schule war angenehm und motivierend – man fühlt sich von Anfang an willkommen. Auch außerhalb des Unterrichts gab es viele Möglichkeiten, Spanisch zu üben und in die Kultur einzutauchen.
Ich kann die Vamos Academy jedem empfehlen, der seine Spanischkenntnisse verbessern oder von Grund auf lernen möchte. Eine tolle Erfahrung!
Nous avons eu Sergio qui est un très bon professeur. Les échanges sont simples et fluides. En 5 jours, nous savons tenir une discussion et repartons avec beaucoup de vocabulaire.
Le lieu est très sympa avec un espace de coworking très bien équipé. Une cuisine est également disponible.

He estado tomando clases privadas de inglés con Natalia durante 6 meses, y sinceramente, ha sido una de las mejores decisiones que he tomado. Mi progreso ha sido enorme. Se nota su pasión por enseñar, y logra transmitir motivación y confianza en cada clase. Siempre se adaptó a mis objetivos y consiguió que fueran dinámicas, prácticas y muy divertidas.

I honesty had the warmest feeling when I entered Vamos Academy for the first time, and here I’m two weeks later and I still feel the same hospitality and excitement going into my next class. I’ve found them online and relayed my interest over email, and was throughly happy to with the result. Everyone is great – my thanks extend to Irene (buen professora!!) and Rocio and Derek for their excellent service (and happy supporters for each end of class) – They cater to your needs, getting a sense of what you like/level, and what fits your schedule. They have private classes (which is the track I chose) and classroom type classes, with 2-4 students. I hope you feel the same way that I have when you go sign up for classes with them.
I had one week of lessons with Ursula and Natalia at Vamos Academy, and really enjoyed the dynamic, fun lessons. I hope to return again in future.

Et il y avait aussi le soleil, les plages, les tapas, le tinto de verano… Bon équilibre entre apprentissage et plaisir. Bravo à toute l’équipe EF Malaga!
op de campus is het erg leuk! ik slaap in het schoolgebouw wat als voordeel heeft dat ik niet heel vroeg mijn bed uit moet als mijn les om 8:30 begint. het ontbijt is ook erg veel! er is voor iedereen wel iets wat hij lekker vind.
op de school zelf heb ik veel geleerd, eerdt was het heel moeilijk want ze spreken geen engels in de les. alles is spaans. en ik was level A1 dus vond dat aan het begin erg moeilijk, maar dat komt vanzelf goed! het was 2 minuten van het strand af, dus dat was ook erg lekker! effe afkoelen na een lange dag school.
het was dus een geslaagde reis met EF! ❤️
Ich fliege morgen früh zurück nach Deutschland und bin echt dankbar für diese tolle Zeit hier in Málaga. Meine Unterkunft, die Residenz im Zentrum (Resa) hat mir sehr gut gefallen, da es nur 3 min zu Fuß in die Stadt sind und mit dem Bus konnte man den Campus schnell erreichen. Ich würde sagen, dass der EF Málaga Campus perfekt für alle ist, die zum ersten Mal Reisen. Er ist nicht so groß, man konnte sich sehr gut zurecht finden und auch die Lehrer waren alle super herzlich! Es gab für jeden Tag in der Woche unterschiedliche Aktivitäten, die super vielseitig sind wie, zum Beispiel eine Radtour, gemeinsam zur Semana Santa gehen oder mit einigen EF-Schülern zusammen Paella machen. Das gemeinsame Paella machen gehört auch definitiv zu einer meiner Lieblings EF-Momenten, weil dieses zusammensitzen und was leckeres zu essen perfekt ist, um sich auszutauschen!
Natürlich war auch die Graduación, die jeder Schüler am Ende seines Aufenthalts bekommt ein absolutes Highlight.
C’est la deuxième fois que je passe 3 semaines incroyables à EF Malaga. Une atmosphère incroyable où les enseignants et les élèves sont en constante coopération, développement, créativité. La bonne humeur, l’humour, les sourires, le soleil, la mer, la découverte de nouveaux endroits – tout cela vous sera garanti dans cette école ! Beaucoup d’activités complètement différentes, une très bonne méthode d’apprentissage de la langue + bien sûr des professeurs incroyables et l’ambiance phénoménale à l’école – tout cela est la clé de votre succès !
Mia figlia è stata a Malaga in famiglia. Purtroppo l’esperienza è stata negativa. Alloggio in letto a castello in una camera senza aria condizionata ma con ventola a soffitto con temperature a 35/36 gradi ovviamente inadeguata. Bagno minuscolo per 4 ragazze con possibilità di fare la doccia solo per 7 minuti a persona. Cena inesistente, prima sera hamburger per le altre sere insalata, tanto che sono andati a mangiare sempre fuori; per il fine settimana era prevista la pensione completa ma non c’è stata. Mia figlia è minorenne e non c’è stato alcun controllo di orario di ritirata; i ragazzi sono lasciati liberi di andare ovunque e ritirarsi a qualsiasi orario. Occorre maggiore attenzione a scegliere le famiglie, oltretutto lontane da scuola ( con bus 40 minuti!). La prima famiglia era lontana un’ora di bus, abbiamo chiesto di avvicinarla un pochino e ci hanno cambiato alloggio ( dopo averci scritto che fino ad 1 ora di distanza è compreso nel contratto). La scuola EF è ben organizzata , i prof sono carini, anche l’assistenza EF è buona ma non basta. Non consiglierei l’esperienza a Malaga in famiglia. Avrei risparmiato prenotando un piccolo hotel in mezza pensione e pagando solo la scuola a parte!

Decidí apuntarme a la academia Blair Language Centre para sacarme el título de C1 en Inglés. Me apunté en un intensivo, y conseguí obteniendo el título gracias a la gran preparación, gestión del profesorado y el nivel de las clases que te ayudan de cara al examen, y que vayas más tranquilo. 100% recomendable!!
Esta academia es muy buena, todas mis clases fueron vía online y están muy preparados para enseñar a través de plataforma. Sin duda tuve la suerte de que mi profesor principal fuera José y una grata experiencia con el aumento de mi nivel en inglés en tan poco tiempo! Son buenos profesores y preparadores, y el precio es genial, gracias por todo!

Llegue al examen del b2 Cambridge con bastante preparación y conseguí sacarlo con nota.
Llevo en esta academia desde hace 6 años y gracias a ellos he podido llegar desde el B2 hasta el C2 en inglés. Los profesores son muy profesionales y explican bien, especialmente José, quien lleva la academia. Por tanto, recomiendo esta academia sin lugar a dudas.

Wir haben einen 4-wöchigen Spanischkurs absolviert an dieser Schule und können sie sehr empfehlen! Die Lage der Schule am Strand schlägt alles, da wir auch im Ort wohnten, genossen wir morgens den Schulweg am Strand entlang sehr. Ik heb deze week de cursus Perfeccionamiento para profesores de ELE gevolgd. Elke dag kregen wij les van een andere docent met eigen expertise. De enthousiaste docenten hadden veel kennis van zaken en hebben ons van veel theoretische en enige praktische informatie voorzien. Onze groep kwam uit diverse landen, het was heel fijn om een week lang ondergedompeld te worden in het Spaans en de cultuur. Daarnaast ligt de school aan het strand in een niet toeritisch gebied maar toch dichtbij Malaga dat goed met de bus te bereiken is.
Het programma van de school bevatte ook drie culturele activiteiten die begeleid werden door Emilio, een parel.
Het was een fantastische week met heel vriendelijke begeleiders en docenten. Een week om nooit meer te vergeten.
Hace dos semanas estuve en la escuela de idiomas “La Playa” (justo en frente del mar). Ha sido una experiencia maravillosa y entretenida. Entre todos se creó una atmósfera muy acogedora. Los docentes son muy disponibles y super buenos. Además de las clases organizaron actividades culturales muy chulas (con guía). Una experiencia de verdad genial e inolvidable.
Una experiencia magnífica, llena de emociones y nuevas aventuras. En estos 10 días, no solo mejoré mi español, sino que también hice nuevos amigos. Agradezco a todos los que lo hicieron posible y espero que otros puedan vivirlo en el futuro. Una palabra para describir este viaje: inolvidable.

La estupenda acogida por parte de los organizadores, el contenido de los talleres muy útil y bien elaborado, las actividades socioculturales que nos propusieron súper interesantes, el lugar muy agradable, cerca de la playa. ¡Repetiría cada año!

I’m not rating the classes themselves, but the accommodation and this company. I made a mistake by choosing “homestay with a Spanish family,” which turned out to be a tiny, sub-par cubbyhole: a separate entrance, basic equipment, temperatures over 50 degrees, dark with only narrow, tilt-only windows, hot water for one person at most (a gas bottle in the room), and an entrance through a terrace, exposed to the south. It was literally not possible to sleep there, there wasn’t even a desk. All for €648 a week (2 people) – and that’s the main problem, as the price was completely inadequate.
The staff was insistently persistent on the phone (like a telemarketer) and pressured me to choose a place without seeing photos, allegedly to prevent me from “contacting the landlord directly.” They vouched for it with the “school’s good name” and promised we’d be happy. So I’m attaching photos here to let you judge this “good name” for yourself.
We moved out immediately, knowing they would later claim we “should have reported it” – the situation was just too extreme, and I already knew who I was dealing with. I later found out that this process takes several days and they only transfer you to another, similar dump. The only thing left to do was accept this scam. Luckily, for just over half the price of the above, we managed to find a last-minute two-level apartment with air conditioning.
A “nice lady” from reception spoke to me about it, but the only thing she cared about was apparently the exact time we moved out, so they could stop paying the landlord (a very nice man, by the way). She never got back to me, as promised.
It was my mistake for agreeing to “buy a pig in a poke”. I was misled by the high ratings on Google, which I find hard to believe – that’s why I’m warning others not to use their services. There are many other schools in Malaga that aren’t just focused on squeezing money out of people. Now, besides the lost money and stress, I just want to forget about the whole thing.
This school is excellent in all areas. Before the course: the video intake interview, the written preparations and tests. Then the reception and the course itself. I had an incredibly nice and very competent instructor. I had a one to one course. It clicked very well between her and me. For me, the course was mainly for conversation and picking up some grammar that was no longer so clear in my memory. The method that the school uses for this forces you to talk about all kinds of topics in the times that needed refreshing (at least for me). I had a great time! I will definitely go back. Thanks!!! p.s.: the school was 2 streets away from our apartment. Very cool!!!

Die Schule ist klein und sehr fein. Es geht familiär zu. Das ganze Personal, die Mädels vom Empfang/Verwaltung, die Lehrerinnen – meine war Tina – und Saul, der Freizeit Aktivitäten organisiert, waren super sympathisch, herzlich, lustig und professionell. Der Unterricht war abwechslungs- und lehrreich. Es hat total viel Spaß gemacht. Ich war leider nur eine Woche da und bin jetzt schon wieder eine Woche zu Hause und vermisse die Schule. Wer Spanisch lernen möchte, dem kann ich Expanish Málaga absolut empfehlen.

I studied Spanish here for a couple of months, starting from 0 – didn’t know a word. After 5 months, I was already confident enough to do job interviews in Spanish.
Of course, the learning itself is the most important part of going to a school, but what made the difference for me was the amazing team.
The professors really take the time to understand each student’s weaknesses and work on them in a smooth, encouraging way.
Beyond the classes, just walking through the door every day, being greeted by the whole team (not only the professors), made the place feel like home for a while.

I studied in Debla for two weeks and my Spanish improved a lot. I completed two weeks of work experience in this school, and from my perspective, it was a wonderful school. The staff were very supportive and friendly and created an atmosphere that I felt very comfortable in. The school itself isn’t big, but in this case they prioritised quality over quantity. The school has a very bright and airy interior which provides good shelter from the Spanish heat and it has lovely views of sea. Lastly, it’s very well-maintained and I can tell that the teachers take a lot of pride in this school.
