Horrible unsafe Drop and pick up from road, at 2am in night. The shuttle service is horrible, it's advertised door to door but reality is far from it, the drop from airport was around midnight, driver pointed at the hotel then went straight past the gate to go to back of hotel and dropped on the road at midnight with luggage and asleep child. Pointed at wall of hotel and asked us to go. There is no access to hotel from the drop road at that hour if you ask they flatly lie that drop is at hotel while it's a good half a kilometers walk on empty streets in night. So after 6 hours of travel had to drag everything down the road to gate which driver crossed without stopping. For pickup the voucher states pickup from hotel but I was skeptical and asked, initially guy on phone replied it's from hotel but when asked to Cross check he confirmed that at 2am in night we have to come to the deserted road stop again. In the transfer voucher which says pick up at hotel but in reality it's a road stop where again we had to reach with luggage and asleep child 15 minutes before pickup or bus will leave you and go away they did this to others on the way. So we're in open unsafe deserted location at 2am in night waiting for pickup. No worries about cold or rain. To put salt on wounds the bus driver simply takes a right from pickup and passes right in front of hotel gate. The company guys are rude and not concerned I have added photos of road stop in night, the advertisement says door to door, voucher states pickup at hotel and video of bus passing and stopping hotel gate.
Have used suntransfers several times in the past and they have always been good. This time we decided to treat ourselves to the premium service at greater expense than the standard transfer from Lisbon airport. What a massive disappointment. our flight was around 25 minutes late, but that's fine as they track flights and have unlimited waiting time. Shame we had to wait 40 minutes for our driver and lug our cases to some overcrowded pick up point. But the biggest shock was, rather than our promised latest model premium vehicle, a small Renault picked us up that had barely enough room for two bags. Once I loaded the bags we were off , not so great porter service either. What a waste of money. have e mailed for a refund of the premium element . Will certainly think twice about using again and will be getting the metro back to the airport on my return home Update 7/9/25 Received reply acknowledging poor service , and rather than refund the premium element of my booking, have the cheek to offer 10% off my next booking! And they state that as far as they concerned, this ends the matter, I think not. Given the service and response , not likely to use again and have already advised family travelling next month to use another service. Suntransfers I expect a refund for the premium element of my booking not a discount on the next one, as funnily enough won't be using you!
Booked a Private Minivan – Got a Sweaty Shared Coach With No Baby Seats. AVOID Suntransfers! We booked a "Private Minivan" transfer through Suntransfers from Barcelona Airport to Salou for 6 adults and 2 infants under 2 years old. We paid €488.38 return, expecting a private, comfortable ride with proper child safety seats – which was clearly advertised (see booking screenshot). What we got was completely different, unsafe, and deeply disappointing. At the airport, we were met by someone from a totally different company (Giovanni Travels) and directed to a 52-seater PLANA coach already full of strangers (see photo – that was the return bus, almost identical to the first one). There were: NO infant seats NO safety belts for babies NO warning in advance And NO apology The air conditioning was poor and the bus made multiple stops, turning a supposed 1h 15m private trip into 2+ hours of sweaty discomfort with screaming babies that had to be held on our laps – dangerously unsecured. It felt like we had paid a premium price for a public bus. Even worse, the public ALSA bus costs just €16 per person — that’s €192 return for all of us. And at least there, you know what you're signing up for. The return trip was no better — same coach setup, still no child safety, just slightly less packed. This was a clear bait-and-switch. We paid for a private, child-safe minivan, and were thrown onto a budget coach service without warning. When safety for infants is involved, that’s not just bad service — it’s gross negligence. Suntransfers should be ashamed. Misleading advertising, unsafe conditions, and zero accountability. If you are traveling with kids or value safety, do NOT trust this company. We will never use them again and strongly warn other families to avoid at all costs.
I had a very disappointing experience with Suntransfers. I booked a transfer from my hotel for June 24, 2025, and manually entered 11:30 AM as the pickup time. However, after payment and receiving the voucher, I later discovered that the time had changed to 12:30 PM — a time that did not work for my travel plans. I contacted their customer support via WhatsApp immediately after noticing the error (the night before the transfer), but was told there was no availability at 11:30, no way to change the time, and no refund possible due to their 48-hour cancellation policy. Despite explaining that I had selected the correct time during booking and that this issue was not my fault, I received a generic rejection and no solution. Their final reply claimed the time of 12:30 was what I had entered, and they refused to even investigate further. I was forced to cancel and take a regular taxi instead, at my own expense. Advice to future customers: If you ever book with Suntransfers, I strongly recommend screen recording your entire booking process, including the final confirmation screen, so you have proof in case something goes wrong. Screenshots alone may not be enough if they later deny responsibility. I am currently pursuing this case through the EU Online Dispute Resolution system and relevant consumer protection bodies. Disappointing service, no accountability, and no flexibility. I will not be using them again.
We hadden voor 6 personen een privé busje geboekt om ons van faro vliegveld naar albufaira te brengen en retour. De getoonde foto van het busje bij de boeking zag er top en sjiek uit. Bij aankomst in Faro moesten we naar de afgesproken plek en de chauffeur stond klaar. Je verwacht een sjiek busje maar er stond een auto klaar. We moesten ons met de kinderen opsplitsen 3 personen in iedere auto. Een auto moest nog komen en werden naar een andere parkeerplaats gebracht waar we moesten wachten. Onze chauffeur wist het gaspedaal goed te vinden met de telefoon in de hand. Laten we het er niet over hebben hoe beide auto's eruit zagen. Was blij dat we allen veilig bij het hotel waren. Vanmorgen netjes op tijd kwam er een busje aan met reclame op het busje voor een dolfijnen show. We zeide deze is niet voor ons wij moeten naar het vliegveld, en niet naar een dolfijnen show. Ik werd gebeld door de chauffeur die in het busje zat en jawel dat was ons busje. Weer niet het sjieke busje wat op de site stond, maar een busje met een barst in de voorruit, een deur die niet goed dicht ging, en vies was. Gelukkig reed deze chauffeur wel netjes en rustig. Wij boeken hier geen transfer meer. Je krijgt niet wat er op de site wordt aangeboden en veel en veel te duur voor wat je krijgt..
Absolutely horrendous experience, avoid these charlatans. I'd rather spend a night under Fred West's roof than trust these. I would give them zero stars if I could. Where do I start? Arrival - turned up (that's about as good as it got). Paid for an 8 seater minivan, received a 5 seater vehicle well below the specification we paid for, at least 17 years old. I paid an extra €40 for two child seats, they must have been at least 20 years old, filthy, tatty and full of holes. I was reluctant to put my children in them. The car itself was also filthy and smelly. Return - well, it just DIDN'T TURN UP!! We contacted the company helpline, their response was 'We tried, these things happen.' Therefore, I had to source a different taxi service at a cost of €130 to get us to the airport. Due to waiting for our initial transfer we then had to rush through the airport, which was extremely stressful with 2 young children. I then had to pay a further €45 for security fast-track to ensure we made our flight (JUST!) I would say they are taking its customers for a ride, but they literally aren't taking you anywhere. Do not use this transfer service, use these whoppers at your peril. Abysmal!!!!
We arranged a transfer from our holiday home to Alicante airport and everything went very smoothly. Our driver, Danny-de-borg, arrived early and helped us with our bags. He also let us have a look at a book for the area which was nice as we drove. The drive was straightforward with no issues and we were at the airport in plenty of time.
